Born on July 23, 1982 in Bilogbilog, Tanauan City, Batangas, Zanjoe Marudo’s real name is Zanjoe Acuesta Marudo. The Kapamilya actor’s parents are Zosimo Lumbres Marudo from Batangas and Rosanna Acuesta from Calauag, Quezon City. He is the third among five children.
Zanjoe is into sports – specifically basketball. He is always part of the basketball varsity team of the school since he was in elementary until high school. It was his brother, Zandro, who greatly influenced him in playing the sport. He was part of the San Sebastian College’s basketball team Staglets which played in the NCAA.
Zanjoe Marudo’s Showbiz Career
One of the celebrities who entered the showbiz industry through the ABS-CBN reality show Pinoy Big Brother is Zanjoe Marudo. He emerged as a fourth placer and a bigger door of opportunities was opened after his PBB stint. He was offered a contract with the Kapamilya network.
Throughout his showbiz career, Zanjoe did a lot of hit projects and his acting is highly praised by many people. Among his projects are the TV series PlayHouse and Walang Hanggang Paalam. In the said projects, he worked with Angelica Panganiban who is visibly one of the celebrities he is close with.
Zanjoe is one of the celebrities who are former PBB housemates. Some of them include Gerald Anderson and Joshua Garcia who are also both under the Kapamilya network until now.
With regards to his love life, one of the celebrities that Zanjoe Marudo has dated was Kapamilya actress Bea Alonzo. Despite their breakup, the two (2) celebrities managed to remain as friends.
