List of DSWD Educational Cash Aid Requirements in Applying
DSWD EDUCATIONAL CASH AID – Here are the documents required in applying for the assistance offer under the AICS program.
In the Philippines, one of the entities that poor students and parents may turn to is the Department of Social Welfare and Development. It has launched the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation or the AICS program.
Under the AICS program, the social welfare department offers Educational Cash Assistance. It is open for elementary, secondary, and college students as well as vocational students in the tertiary level.
The application to the DSWD Educational Cash Aid must be with the consent of the parents. There are requirements that a student or parent must submit in applying for the cash assistance offer:
- School ID / Student ID — The school ID is a proof that the student is currently enrolled in a school or educational institution. It must be under the validity period.
- Parents / Guardians ID — As mentioned, the application must bear the consent of the parents or guardians thus the social welfare department requires the presentation of the ID of either of the parents as a proof of cosent.
- Name of School — The student-applicant must indicate the name of the school where he/she is currently enrolled.
- Student Fee Slips — This document will be used by the social welfare department in assessing the school fees of the student.
- Enrollment Form or Registration Document — This is another proof of the enrollment to the school or educational institution.

Walk-in Process
Visit a branch of the DSWD Central or Field Office and submit your documents. You will be given your interview date. Return on the schedule given to you for the interview and assessment.
Send an email to [email protected]. Indicate your name, contact details, and complete address in the email as well as your preferred schedule for the interview. Once confirmed, on the said date, bring your requirements and go to the DSWD office.
Online
Download the application form from the official website of the social welfare department (www.dswd.gov.ph). Provide the information needed in the form and submit it. Wait for an update from the DSWD about the result of the screening and assessment as well as your interview schedule.
