In an interview, actress Claudine Barretto has this to say about the interaction of Julia Barretto and Bea Alonzo caught in a video.
TV and film legend Johnny Manahan, aka Mr. M was treated to a surprise birthday party at the Marriott Hotel in Newport World Resorts in Pasay City. This was a star-studded event attended by celebrities John Lloyd Cruz, Heart Evangelista, Bea Alonzo, Jericho Rosales, Sam Milby, and many more big stars.
In this event, some of the unexpected reunions happened. For one is the reunion of Claudine Barretto and her niece Julia Barretto.
Based on a previous article, Claudine spoke about the reunion with Julia and she was very happy about it. All is well between her and her niece’s mother Marjorie Barretto. It may not be a close relationship but they are civil.
Among the reunions that went viral was the reunion of Bea Alonzo and Julia. Their interaction was caught in a video and it spread like wildfire on social media. They were spotted in Mr. M’s event and in the video, they were graceful and were even smiling at each other. The actresses warmly greeted each other and they were talking and laughing together at the party of Manahan.
Claudine reacts to this
“That was what I was worried about that night. Knowing Julia, hindi iyan matapang. Hindi iyan parang ako, ayaw nga niyan umakyat ng stage. Nahihiya. Hindi ko alam, basta. Sinabi ko na hindi, sama siya sa akin,” Barretto said.
However, it turned out just fine and she was happy. She added that knowing Alonzo, she is certain that the Kapuso actress is already past the issue that happened in 2019.
To recall, in 2019, Bea and actor Gerald Anderson broke up. The rumored reason was the young Barretto but they denied the latter’s involvement in the split. Their breakup became controversial after Alonzo revealed that Anderson ghosted and cheated on her.
Julia also denied her involvement in the split and in 2021, they made their relationship public.
