According to a report, the signing of It’s Showtime airing on GMA is happening tomorrow.
It’s Showtime stirs speculation over the teaser and based on a report, the signing of contract will be happening on March 20.
‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’ of Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE) ended on March 8, 2024. Following the official announcement based on TAPE’s released official statement, talks about It’s Showtime filling the empty time slot became louder online.
Temporarily, Lunchtime Movie Hits is serving as a replacement of ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’, however, a post from the Kapamilya noontime show stirred speculations online.
The Showtime teaser with a heart ignited speculations and people quickly assumed that this must be the confirmation. According to some people online, this is a hint that Showtime will soon be aired on GMA.
As much as we all know, the ABS-CBN noontime show is currently airing in GTV, GMA’s subsidiary channel.
Following the teaser, a report about the signing between the program and the network surfaced. Based on the report, it is already confirmed that Showtime will be airing soon in GMA as a replacement of ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya’.
Reportedly, the signing of contract between the executives of ABS-CBN and GMA, which were formerly rivals, will be on March 20. This marks another historical event in the television industry.
The contract signing will happen in the Studio 7 of the GMA Network which will be attended by the hosts of Showtime to be led by Vice Ganda. Also invited in this event are the contract stars of Sparkle GMA Artist Center.
The other current hosts of the ABS-CBN noontime show are Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Ogie Alcasid, Karylle, Amy Perez, Ryan Bang, Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpuz, Ion Perez, Cianne Dominguez, Jackie Gonzaga, and others.
This is another historical agreement between GMA and ABS-CBN. Prior to the latter’s failed bid for a franchise renewal, they used to be the biggest rivals.
