Miss World 2024 host Megan Young did a gesture that seemed to make a distraction and Miss Botswana Lesego Chombo has this statement.
Former Miss World Megan Young did a gesture that took the internet by storm. A lot of pageant fans have criticized the Pinay beauty queen for fixing the hair of Miss Botswana Lesego Chombo as seen during the Sunday’s live broadcast of the Miss World 2024 beauty pageant.
During the Q&A portion of the prestigious pageant, she fixed a small part of her head which people online called “witchcraft”.
Megan was bashed as many people believed that it distracted Lesego during the crucial part of the competition. When the pageant ended, Lesego made it to the Top 4 while Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic was crowned Miss World 2024.
In a previous article, Megan released an official statement where she expressed that she is taking full responsibility of the matter. She spoke to her privately and apologized and expressed how regretful she was of her action. The Pinay beauty queen promised to be more mindful and respectful in the future.
With the critical comments the former Miss World has received, Lesego of Botswana spoke up.
The beauty from Botswana said that she appreciated how people looked out for her but she felt bad that other people have to be dragged down for her sake. It did not make her feel good that other people were affected. She appealed, “Please be kinder to Krystyna, to Megan, be kinder.”
