Student in Masbate Shot by Barangay Official for Alleged Noisy Behavior
A 20-year-old student tragically lost his life after being shot multiple times by a barangay tanod for alleged noisy behavior.

Recently, a barangay official was arrested for shooting a student for being noisy. According to investigations, the student was staying at a boarding house in Brgy. Espinosa, visiting a classmate, when the barangay tanod passed by. The noise from the boarding house caught the attention of the reportedly drunk barangay official.
Upon seeing the student come down to the ground floor, the tanod allegedly followed him inside the boarding house and into the restroom, where he fired several shots, causing fatal wounds to the student in various parts of his body.
The authorities have taken the barangay tanod into custody, and the firearm believed to have been used in the crime has been recovered.
