Ogie Diaz shared his thoughts on the criticism that Ted Failon received
Veteran broadcaster Ted Failon was criticized because he remarked on the physical appearance of SB19 Justin de Dios and this received a comment from talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz.
To recall, A’Tin, the fans of SB19, did not like the commentary that Ted was doing while his co-host DJ Chacha was reporting about the performance of Justin on the Kapamilya Sunday musical variety show ASAP Natin ‘To.
The report was focused on Justin as he was promoting his debut solo Surreal. Ted, with his side comments, apparently was questioning the authenticity of Justin’s physical appearance specifically his nose.
Fans defended Justin and slammed Ted for his supposed disrespectful act on air. In a recent Showbiz Update episode, Ogie Diaz’s showbiz YouTube talk show, he shared his reaction to this issue.
The talent manager-vlogger said that he is thanking Ted because he got curious about Justin de Dios. “Maku-curious ba tayo kay Justin kung hindi ibinalita ni Ted Failon?” Ogie said. He added that after what Ted had done, many people got curious about the SB19 member.
He also shared that he realized that indeed Justin is handsome. Ogie stressed that he became an instant fan of Justin because of that just like how SB19 Stell Ajero caught his attention during a recent event.
Ogie shared that he attended the Bingo Plus event wherein Stell was one of the performers. He said that he was amazed by the singer’s voice. “Boses ba ni Stell yun? Ano to lip sync? Napakaganda ng boses,” Ogie said.
“Si Stell, si Justin, ay instant fan na ako ng SB19, aarte ba pa?” the talent manager-vlogger added. Ogie also said that his admiration for the group was intensified because of Ted Failon. For the talent manager-vlogger, more people admired Justin, as well as SB19, after what the veteran broadcaster did.
