Gary Valenciano hoped for the betterment of the situation in the Senate

In a recent Facebook post, the OPM icon shared a prayer amid the controversies that have been happening in the Senate these past weeks.
The issue started with the unexpected appearance of Senator Bato dela Rosa. He has broken his hiatus, and a commotion happened in the Senate as the agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) reportedly were trying to serve the arrest warrant released by the International Criminal Court (ICC).
A few days later, the Senate shooting incident happened. The most recent controversial incident that took place in the Senate was when the Minority Bloc Senators walked out.
This came after Sen. Rodante Marcoleta proposed to amend the rule to allow Senators to join sessions remotely.
Amid the heated arguments between the Majority and Minority, Gary Valenciano saw the need for divine intervention.
“Lord. Please Lord…speak I to every heart of those in the senate. Speak in a way that they have never experienced before. Give them the courage and direction to simply do what is right in Your eyes. We’ve such a broken country Lord. Have mercy on us…please,” he wrote in his Facebook post.
Several netizens who commented on this post that the OPM icon shared echoed his prayer, as they also want to see the political scene in the country to be better.
