Vice Ganda reminisced about working with Jaclyn Jose
Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda expressed sadness that he will no longer have the chance to do his “dream project” with the late actress Jaclyn Jose.
Vice was one of the many celebrities who were saddened to lose someone like Jaclyn in the entertainment industry. The death of the late actress came unexpectedly and this shocked not just her loved ones, her fellow celebrities, and her fans.
In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Vice shared that he was considering a project with Jaclyn.
He said that he was sad not just because the late actress died but also because he wanted to make his dream project with her. Vice Ganda shared that he already pitched it to Star Cinema.
“Comedy na drama na serious na indie type na mag-nanay kami. Maganda ‘yan, sabi nila, for a change. Sabi ko, gusto ko ito, for ano lang, gusto kong magkaroon ng ganitong pelikula. Eh, hindi na siya matutuloy. Nakakapanghinayang, kasi gusto ko talaga ‘yung dalawa kami, ‘yung dalawa kaming bida,” the comedian-host shared.
Vice wanted to play the son of Jaclyn in a movie. He mentioned the movie Kalel, 15 in which he liked how the late actress played as a mother. The comedian-host stressed that he wanted to experience a mother character in a movie who is cursing at him.
Vice also recalled working with Jaclyn on a comedy project. The late actress was known for doing drama projects. They worked together in the movie Fantastica in 2018.
He said that Jaclyn was open to throwing punchlines. Vice also shared that the late actress did not mind if the punchlines were not part of the script and they would just throw lines naturally.
“Magugulat siya, may mga sundot siya. Marami siyang, kahit ‘yung meron siyang sinabi doon na, ‘Yan, gusto ko ‘yang acting na ‘yan. Diyan ako nananalo sa Cannes Film Festival.’ Wala ‘yun sa script. So nagpapa-dogshow din siya,” the It’s Showtime host shared.
Vice Ganda also said that despite Jaclyn Jose’s status in the entertainment industry, it was a breeze working with her.
