SB19 fans did not like what Ted Failon did on his news program
Veteran broadcaster Ted Failon was criticized by A’Tin, the fans of SB19, because of his comment on Justin de Dios, one of the members of the P-Pop group.
A recent episode of Ted Failon at DJ Chacha sa Radyo5 news program reported the performance of Justin on the Kapamilya Sunday musical variety show ASAP Natin ‘To. Justin is currently promoting his debut song Surreal.
In her report, DJ Chacha said that Justin’s appearance on the show became a trending topic on social media. While she was reporting, Ted was having some side comments.
Ted Failon asked if Justin de Dios is Filipino and DJ Chacha answered, “Oo, Pinoy yan. Ang pogi, di ba?” Then, DJ Chacha suggested that she would like to see Ted having the same color as Justin’s.
Aside from Ted’s side comments during the reporting, he was apparently, playing some sound effects as well.
The veteran broadcaster also asked, “All original yan, ano?” and then, he referred to the song. DJ Chacha said that even Justin is all original and when she mentioned the inspiration behind the song, Ted interrupted her and said, “inspirasyon niya mga Koreano.”
Then, Ted said that he hopes there will be a group whose members are “Hindi naman kataasan ang tangos ng ilong para talaga original.”

This did not sit well with A’Tin and they slammed the behavior of the veteran broadcaster. Many fans of the P-Pop Kings defended Justin. Some netizens also showed that Justin has been good-looking ever since because it runs in his blood and his nose is the same from then and now.
For A’Tin, it was inappropriate for Ted Failon to make those side comments while DJ Chacha was reporting and his comments are derogatory. Fans also urged the veteran broadcaster to apologize to Justin de Dios. Here are some tweets about the veteran broadcaster.
Justin simply got it from his beautiful Mama Gemma.

Sir Ted Failon naman, di po nakaka-premium. 😌 pic.twitter.com/llopXOJ8ZI
Not Ted Failon being the complete epitome of how a boomer mindset should not be tolerated! The commentaries are completely irrelevant to what @_djchacha is reporting.

This is a callout for @News5PH to do better, we won’t let this go!
TED FAILON APOLOGIZE TO JUSTIN https://t.co/2twgPJsT11
When veteran journalists behave this way, it really makes me question whether there is any integrity left in Philippine media. As a senior journalist, Ted Failon, you need to be an example to the rest of the industry. Let your reporters report properly without cutting them off… https://t.co/tO0hWW03cg

Age doesn't define maturity.

Maturity is attitude built with experience.
Learn to judge people not by their age, height or appearence rather by the way they handle their things.
Why so rude Ted Failon? Apologize to Justin!!! pic.twitter.com/am2xF4S14f
Yung lahi mo kasi sir @tedfailon hindi katulad ng lahi ni bujah😆

Meanwhile, back in 2020, Ted Failon’s attitude was “exposed” by a former ABS-CBN cameraman. Journalie Payonan claimed that the network did not give the benefits he deserved and after his exposition, Ted allegedly told him, “Naku, iho lumayo-layo ka sa harapan ko, mawawalan ako ng programa sa iyo.”
