The Unified Multi-purpose ID card or UMID ID is issued by the Social Security System, one of the giant social insurance institutions in the Philippines. It can be used in availing the services of the following state entities:

  • Government Service Insurance System (GSIS)
  • Social Security System (SSS)
  • Pagtutulungan sa Kinabukasan: Ikaw, Bangko, Industriya, at Gobyerno (Pag-IBIG) Fund
  • Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth)

The UMID ID can also be used in applying for loans, getting a passport or any valid ID, purchasing a residential property or car, processing at the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), and a lot more.
