In a new video, Ogie Diaz explains why Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu is not allowed to promote “Linlang” in the noontime show.
“Linlang” premiered on Prime Video last year produced by ABS-CBN and Dreamscape. It gained an unexpected success with each episode trending on social media and each turn of the story will make hold tight on your while watching.
Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu is the one playing the famous role of Juliana Lualhati.
She is successful in doing this meaty role and even received so much hate. It was the kind of hate she loved as it indicated how well she did in portraying the role given to her. She was effective as Juliana and with the success of the show, ABS-CBN decided to release the teleserye version.
The teleserye version is the longer version of the story where the parts that was missed will be shown. The story will be told in details and it will reach a wider audience as it is airing on a primetime slot.
However, in a previous article, many netizens assumed that Kim is not allowed to promote “Linlang” in It’s Showtime. This is after she whispered something to Tyang Amy when she mentioned the series in the noontime show.
In the new video of Ogie Diaz, he explained the reason behind this.
As someone who has handled several talents and been an artist for many years now, he has become well-versed of the rules in the industry. To clear the confusions, he explained. According to him, there will be conflict as “Linlang” is aired on TV5 and Showtime is aired on BTV, the sister company of GMA which also has their own television series.
“Ang It’s Showtime ay palabas din sa GTV. E may sarili ring teleserye ang GMA7 na sister company ng GTV. So di niya pwedeng i-promote ang Linlang. Much as she wanted to promote Linlang, ‘yun nga nasa GTV rin sila,” Diaz explained.
Meanwhile, “Linlang” also stars Maricel Soriano, Paulo Avelino, JM de Guzman, Kaila Estrada, Heaven Peralejo, and Ruby Ruiz. The series became a success as it tackled some of the most painful realities of life – betrayal.
This series follows the story of deceit and betrayal – the tale of Victor, Juliana, and Alex and their tangled fate.
