Cristy Fermin talked about the rumors linking Alden Richards to Kathryn Bernardo
Rumor has it that Kapuso actor Alden Richards courted Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo but veteran showbiz writer Cristy Fermin clarified this.
Alden and Kathryn worked together in the 2019 film Hello, Love, Goodbye. This film became the highest-grossing Filipino movie. Fans saw their chemistry and loved their tandem.
Just recently, netizens recalled the KathDen tandem because of Kathryn’s breakup with Daniel Padilla, his reel and real-life boyfriend for 11 years. The confirmation came after several weeks of speculations about the status of their relationship.
Fans started shipping Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo once again and hoped that their HLG movie, directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, would have a sequel.
In a recent episode of Cristy Fermin’s showbiz talk show, based on the article in Balita, she discussed the rumors linking Alden and Kathryn. She said that rumors were saying that the Kapuso actor courted the Kapamilya actress.
Cristy said that there is no truth to this. She stressed that Alden did not pursue Kathryn at all. “Napakamarespeto ni Alden Richards para makihalo o makisawsaw at maki-join diyan,” the showbiz writer said.
She stressed that the Kapuso actor can shine on his own and that she is not someone who would use other people for his gain. “Hindi po ganoong klaseng tao si Alden Richards. May sarili po siyang karera. Hindi po niya kailangang makisukob doon sa hiwalayan ng KathNiel,” she said.
Amid this KathNiel breakup issue, Alden did not express any comment. “Alden Richards po siya kahit wala po ang kahit sino bagama’t hindi niya ipinagmamalaki. Hindi po natin siya mahuhuli na nakikisuyo diyan sa mga ganyan,” Cristy Fermin added.
Meanwhile, back in 2019, there were already rumors linking Alden to Kathryn but the actor debunked these.
