Miss Universe 2023 Top 10 finalist Michelle Dee has this answer when given the chance to answer the pageant’s final question.
One of the “sayang” of Michelle Dee being a Top 10 finalist of the Miss Universe pageant is not being able to hold the microphone for the question and answer portion. She was confident that if she was given the chance, she would make sure that the moment would have “walang butas”.
On Monday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda”, it looked like people won’t have to wonder anymore how she will handle the final question as she was given the chance to do it in the show.
The final question was: “If you could live one year in another woman’s shoes, who would you choose and why?”
She answered this question in less than 45 seconds and the woman she chose was none other than the inspiration for her final gown, Apo Whang-Od.

“I would choose Mary Wollstonecraft because opened the gap and gave an opportunity to many women. And what I would do, I would want that income gap would open up so women can work in any area they choose to work in because there are no limitations for women. That was 1750, now in 2023 we’re making history.”
If able to hold a microphone during the event, the PH bet would have this answer:
“If I could choose to live in any woman’s shoes, it would be Apo Whang-Od. She’s an amazing symbol of cultural preservation. She’s an amazing symbol of ageism. She has been defying boundaries, stereotypes, and that is something that I have tried to inspire everybody around me as well, which is to own your unique story, own your traditions, love where you came from, love who you’re with, who you’re surrounded with,” Michelle answered. And truly, with that unique story, you can make your country proud. You can show the universe what your country has to offer. In my case, my love for my country can shake the whole universe as well.”
Meanwhile, apart from being among the Top 10 finalists, she also won four special awards, including the Spirit of Carnival Award, the Miss Universe’s fan vote, Voice for Change, and Best in National Costume.
