Seth Fedelin Finally Speaks Up on Daniel Padilla Comparisons
SETH FEDELIN – Kapamilya actor Seth Fedelin opened up about the accusations that he is copying Daniel Padilla, insisting that he has never used his fellow actor for his own benefit.
Kapamilya actor Seth Fedelin has addressed accusations from some bashers who claim that he is copying or using fellow actor Daniel Padilla as a basis for his image and style.
Seth has repeatedly been compared to Daniel, popularly known as DJ, because of their allegedly similar voices, manner of speaking, and fashion choices. Some people have also pointed out their similar hairstyles and the way Seth wears sunglasses.
The comparisons have reportedly made Seth conscious and confused, especially because he feels that he is often accused of imitating Daniel simply because of his appearance and fashion choices.
“Ewan ko po ha, sa lahat ng nagsasalamin, ako ang sinasabihan na ‘bakit nagsasalamin si Seth?’ Sa lahat ng ganyan magbihis, ako lang ba ang nagsasalamin?” the actor said during a media interview.
He continued, “Meron din naman ibang nagsasalamin? Sa akin mas nakikita. I don’t know?”
Seth also clarified that he has never intended to use Daniel for his own benefit, admitting that the constant comparisons have already affected him emotionally.
“Hindi ko po siya ginagamit para sa sarili ko. At saka sobra na rin po akong naapektuhan to the point na nai-stress ako.”
According to Seth, there have even been instances when strangers called him Daniel while he was walking with his loveteam partner, Francine Diaz.
“Minsan naglalakad ako, naglalakad kami ni Francine, ang tawag sa akin, ang pangalan ni Kuya DJ. Ganu’n, natatawa na lang kami.”
He questioned whether he could no longer choose his own hairstyle or wear sunglasses without being compared to Daniel.
“Yung mga taong hindi ako kilala, ‘yun ang tawag sa akin. Bawal po ba akong magganito ng buhok, hindi na ba ako pwedeng magganito ng salamin.
“Ganito ba dapat ang boses ko para maging ganu’n ako. At hindi lang po ako, nakakabasa rin ako sa kapwa ko artista na, porke’t nag-shades din, kinokomentan na nila na kamukha na nu’n. ‘Yun na agad,” Seth said.
Despite the comparisons, Seth said he respects Daniel and recognizes his achievements. He explained that aspiring to reach the same level of success is different from copying another actor.
“At saka kung ano po ang nakamit nila, ni Kuya DJ, kung anong success nila, in terms of trabaho, pelikula, gusto ko rin pong mapuntahan. Pangarap din po namin ‘yun.”
He emphasized that he wants to establish his own identity in the entertainment industry.
“Pero siguro ‘yung gawin ko siyang salamin, manalamin ako at siya ang nakikita ko sa salamin, hindi po. May respeto po ako sa kapwa ko artista.
“Gusto ko rin pong ipakita kung sino ako, ano ako, ano ang kaya ko,” the actor added.
