It was around 2015 to 2016 when actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga met Mikee Morada through Piolo Pascual. They hung out after being introduced to each other and for seven months, he pursued her.
In 2016, Alex announced that she was in a relationship, and four years after they tied the knot.
Alex and Mikee’s wedding was simple and intimate. Due to the pandemic, they were not able to hold a big wedding but it was enough. They also felt that it was the right time to finally seal the deal and so they did.
Three years into marriage, the couple went through a lot, especially in terms of conceiving a baby. Alex’s first miscarriage was in 2021 and it was heartbreaking. She documented the whole journey but this did not make their faith and love for each other get any lesser.
Previously, through his sister’s channel, Alex revealed her second miscarriage. It was just as heartbreaking as the first one but she made peace with it already. They tried the in-vitro fertilization procedure but it didn’t come through.
She admitted that she felt the pressure from people around her.
And recently, in a teaser for the podcast of her friend, Alex was asked why Mikee is the one and immediately, she answered that he is giving her peace. She knew Mikee was the one she was going to marry because of the peace she was giving her.
Isabelle Daza also talked about the set of rules they need to follow. It was the rules her parents set when they were still unmarried.
He really did “tiis” everything because he is serious about their relationship. He followed the rules because he understood.
“Si Mikee, gets niya. Kasi ganun, parang feeling niya ganun talaga ang babae, dapat talagang inaalagaan ng magulang, so naiintindihan niya. Respeto niya yung curfew,” she said based on the teaser.
