Ruru Madrid had the chance to meet Coco Martin and this happened
Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid shared his heartwarming encounter with Kapamilya actor Coco Martin when they met during an event.
Ruru and Coco are both doing action-drama genre in TV series for their recent projects. Despite the professional rivalry between them, the two actors had a pleasant moment during their first meeting.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Ruru shared what happened when he met Coco during the dinner organized by Sen. Robin Padilla for the Eddie Garcia Bill.
Ruru Madrid shared that he approached Coco Martin when he saw him. The Kapuso actor said that he introduced himself to the Kapamilya actor. The former said that he has high respect for the latter.
“Nu’ng nilapitan ko po siya, nakaupo pa siya, sabi ko, ‘Sir Coco magandang gabi po!’ Tapos bigla siyang tumingin sa akin, tapos tumayo, tapos niyakap niya ako nang mahigpit. As in mahigpit na mahigpit, sabi ko, ‘Sir Coco, malaking karangalan pong makilala kita!’” Ruru shared.
It was inevitable that somehow an issue surfaced between them as Coco’s Ang Probinsyano and Ruru’s Lolong series aired at the same timeslot before.
Coco said to Ruru that he is the one who is honored to meet him. “Lagi kitang pinapanood, ang galing-galing mo. Napanood ko ‘yung ‘Lolong.’’ Sabi niya, ‘Sobrang husay mo, pagbutihin mo lang yan,’” the Kapuso actor shared.
Then, Coco jokingly said that they were already preparing for Ruru’s next project. After that, the Kapamilya star once again hugged the Kapuso star and said, “Pagbutihin mo ‘yang ginagawa mo, nakikita ko ‘yung pagiging makatao mo. Ipagpatuloy mo.”
Ruru Madrid said that he really appreciated what he heard from Coco Martin. The Kapuso actor added that he really admires the Kapamilya actor because of how dedicated he is to his craft.
He pointed out that it is not easy to be a director and be the lead actor as well, doing all the action scenes. Ruru also said that the competition will always be there but he is focused on providing good content for the audience.
