Someone close to Enrique Gil shared this clarification
The camp of Kapamilya actor Enrique Gil denied that he shared a post about the late politician Juan Ponce Enrile.
Enrique has his fair share of controversies in the entertainment industry. He has been active in showbiz since 2008. From supporting roles, he became a leading man, and his loveteam partnership with his ex-girlfriend Liza Soberano was a big hit.
However, their real-life relationship went through a controversy. When rumors surfaced that they broke up, there were denials. They were vague about this when asked during interviews. At some point, the actor would even debunk the breakup rumors because of his comments on the actress’s social media post.
Earlier this year, the actress broke her silence on the real status of their relationship. She said that she and Enrique Gil broke up three years ago. This prompted polarizing comments from their fans and casual showbiz fans.
Just recently, Enrique once again caught the attention of the online community negatively. It was because of his supposedly deleted Instagram Story showing support for the late politician Juan Ponce.
The actor had a fiery statement against those who criticize the former Senator. “Rest in peace sen. Let’s not stress ourselves. Mananagot din ang mga taong nagdiriwang sa pagkawala mo,” the supposed post had this caption.
It was said that Enrique deleted his post even before it expired. The actor received bashing online. However, based on an article by Pang-Masa entertainment writer Vinia Vivar, Ranvel Rufino, the business partner of Enrique, clarified that the actor did not post this. “Quen didn’t post this. Guys please stop creating and posting fake news,” Ranvel said.
Meanwhile, before this issue, Enrique Gil was criticized by netizens because of his alleged relationship with social media influencer Andrea Brown, who was allegedly a minor. However, in Andrea’s TikTok bio, she wrote with emphasis, “NOT A MINOR.”
