Pia Wurtzbach shared her thoughts on Michelle Dee’s Miss Universe stint
Miss Universe Philippines 2015 Pia Wurtzbach believes that Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee has a “fighting chance” in the 72nd Miss Universe pageant.
Pia is the third Pinay Miss Universe after Gloria Diaz and Margie Moran. She was followed by Catriona Gray in 2018. This year, Michelle is set to represent the Philippines in the most prestigious beauty pageant in the world.
Miss Universe 2023 will be held at the National Gymnasium in San Salvador, El Salvador on November 18, 2023.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Pia Wurtzbach expressed optimism that Michelle Dee will do a great job in representing the country. Previously, Michelle shared her preparation for her second international pageant. She competed in Miss World back in 2019.
Pia said that the Philippines is ready. She also shared what she loves about the Kapuso star. “What I love about Michelle and I’ve mentioned that before, she’s clear about her vision. She knows what she wants. But she says it in a sweet and gentle way [which] is very queenly,” the third Pinay Miss Universe said.
Pia added that Michelle knows what she wants to talk about and what styling would fit her. This is something that Pia appreciates in a winner. She also shared that she saw Michelle’s gown but she did not elaborate on this.
“I’m very excited to see what she has in store for us and she gave me a sneak peek… pero noong una kong nakita, kinilig ako para sa kanya,” Pia enthused. She easily fell in love with Michelle’s gown and she is sure that people will have the same reaction.
Pia Wurtzbach also shared that she will have an intimate conversation with Michelle Dee before her flight to El Salvador. She will give the Kapuso star tips and pointers for the international competition. Pia shared that she already prepared her notes of the things she wants to share with the possible next Pinay Miss Universe.
