Cristy Fermin did not expect that she would have a legal battle against Sharon Cuneta
Veteran showbiz insider Cristy Fermin revealed that she was surprised by the case filed by Megastar Sharon Cuneta and her husband former Senator Kiko Pangilinan.
This was the third cyber libel case that Cristy is facing this year. To recall, Esther Lahbati, the mother of actress Sarah Lahbati filed a cyber libel case against her in March. Then, on May 2, Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo filed the same case against Cristy, and a few days after that, it was Sharon and Kiko who filed the cyber libel case.
Cristy said in her previous statement that the cyber libel cases filed against her went a higher notch and she even joked that maybe next time, it will be Hollywood actress Julia Roberts who will file a case against her.
In a recent episode of Cristy Fermin’s YouTube show Showbiz Now Na, she said that Sharon Cuneta is the last expected person who would file a case against her, based on the article in Balita.
Cristy said that pre-pandemic, she and Sharon would talk to each other and that there were times when Megastar was “naiiyak” during their conversation. However, when the pandemic came, they stopped talking to each other until the elections happened.
Then, Cristy admitted that she did not really like the political rivalry that happened between Kiko and Tito Sotto, who is the husband of Sharon’s aunt Helen Gamboa, when they both ran for Vice President.
The veteran showbiz insider said that perhaps this was the start of the issue between her and the Megastar.
In an interview after the filing of the case, Sharon Cuneta said in her statement that Cristy Fermin’s against her and her family were already “below the belt.” The actress also pointed out the “unfairness” that they experienced.
She said that Cristy has not reached out to them to ask their side of the story. Sharon also said that she did not want to file the case but she is also considering the welfare of her children who are getting affected by what Cristy has been saying on her show.
