Michelle Dee is ready to raise the Philippine flag
Beauty queen-actress Michelle Dee said that she can still make her practice performance for Miss Universe 2023 pageant perfect.
Michelle is not a newbie when it comes to competing in international pageants. Before winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 title, she was hailed Miss World Philippines 2019 and she represented the Philippines in the international competition in London and reached the Top 12 level.
Last year, she tried her luck once again in the national pageant. However, she did not get the Miss Universe crown in 2022.
That unsuccessful pageant stint did not hinder her to try once again and she did. This year, she got the Miss Universe Philippines title.
In a report from GMA Entertainment, Michelle Dee shared that she started her intense training for her international pageant stint. “Sabihin nating perfect na, mas kaya pang i-perfect. Obviously, I have so much trust in my team, I have much trust in the organization,” the Kapuso star said.
She also said that pageant enthusiasts can expect that she would really give her all. “We all know I love giving a show and I love looking the part as well, so abangan niyo talaga,” Michelle enthused. The Miss Universe 2023 pageant will be held on November 18 in Ecuador.
Meanwhile, Michelle was the talk of the town after the Miss Universe Philippines pageant when she revealed her true gender preference. She came out as bisexual and this received support from the LGBTQA+ community as well as from her fellow celebrities and fans.
The beauty queen-actress said that she was told to reveal this side of her identity before the coronation night. However, Michelle Dee stressed that she does not want the pageant result to be affected by her true gender preference which is why she did the revelation after the pageant.
