Catherine Camilon told her mother that she would visit this company
Miss Grand Philippines 2023 candidate Catherine Camilon was about to go to a media company, as she told her mother, before she went missing.
Authorities still have no leads in the case concerning Catherine. The latest update was that she was spotted at a mall in Batangas on the night of her disappearance. Her family continues to make efforts to locate her.
Even her fellow Miss Grand PH 2023 candidate Herlene Budol expressed concern about her situation.
Based on the article in Philstar Life, Catherine Camilon was spotted by the mall’s CCTV camera on October 12 at 7 PM and that was before she texted her mother.
The beauty queen messaged her mother Rosario that she was at a gas station in Bauan. However, Pauline Fernando, public information office chief of the Batangas Police Provincial Office, said, “Negative tayo sa mga CCTVs doon (sa Bauan).”
Rosario also shared that they were still able to contact Catherine until 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 13 but after that, they weren’t to communicate with her anymore.
The beauty queen informed her mother that she was going to the online media company Balisong Channel. Catherine is a former talent of the said company. On October 18, the media company released a statement regarding this matter.
Balisong Channel stated that Catherine did not visit their office on the day she told her mother that she would go. The company also stressed that the last visit that the beauty queen had was back in December 2021.
“She concluded her professional relationship with our organization on amicable terms, and there have been no ongoing collaborations, communications, or contractual agreements between her and our company in recent memory,” Balisong Channel stated.
The company also expressed its sympathy to the family of Catherine Camilon and hoped that this issue will soon be solved.
