Michelle Dee started making a noise in the Miss Universe 2023 pageant
Filipina beauty queen Michelle Dee is part of the Top 10 leading candidates in the Miss Universe 2023 fan votes.
On October 14, Saturday, Miss Universe Organization (MUO) announced the top 10 candidates leading in the ongoing fan votes and one of them is the candidate from the Philippines. There are more than 80 candidates vying for the Miss Universe 2023 title.
Previously, Michelle optimistically said that she was aiming to bring home the fifth Miss Universe crown for the country.
The Philippines already has four Miss Universe crowns won by Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran, Pia Wurtzbach, and Catriona Gray. Michelle Dee said that she has been preparing 200 percent of her being and energy for her second international pageant. She previously competed in the Miss World competition back in 2019.
In a previous interview, Michelle shared that she experienced sabotage during her first international pageant. Her two golden fans for her national costume disappeared during their photoshoot. Fortunately, through the help of Filipinos in the hotel where they stayed, her fans were returned.
For the 72nd edition of Miss Universe, a fan voting activity was done just like previous competitions. Based on the article in the Manila Bulletin, here is the list of the top 10 leading candidates in fan votes, in no particular order.

The candidate who will get the highest number of votes will automatically enter the semifinals of the 72nd Miss Universe pageant. This will be announced during the finals that will be aired live from El Salvador on November 18.
