PAGASA Says LPA to Bring Scattered Rains Over Parts of the Philippines
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that good weather with chance of isolated rains will prevail throughout the country.
On Friday (October 13, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. A low-pressure area will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA reported that a trough of the Low-Pressure Area is expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rain showers over parts of the country. The LPA was spotted 305 kilometers west of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

The LPA is expected to bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Occidental Mindoro and the northern portion of Palawan. Flash floods or landslides are possible due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
“Itong northern portion ng Palawan, kasama na rin ang Occidental Mindoro ay makararanas ng maulap na kalangitan na may mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan at thunderstorm,” said Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio.
The Northeasterly Surface Windflow will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, and Abra.

The LPA and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country. Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.
“Itong nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon, kasama ang Metro Manila ay makararanas po ng maganda at maaliwalas na panahon, maliban lang po sa mga isolated na pag-ulan dahil pa rin sa mga localized thunderstorm,” he added.
