Vhong Navarro and other hosts of It’s Showtime bid goodbye but only temporarily.
IT’S SHOWTIME – Actor-host Vhong Navarro says their noontime show will definitely be back after the suspension.
Media giant ABS-CBN announced previously that a new game show will take the place of the noontime show “It’s Showtime” while the latter serves its 12-day suspension.
The network launched “It’s Your Lucky Day” which will be hosted by Luis Manzano, Robi Domingo, Jennica Garcia, and Melai Cantiveros. Special co-hosts and other celebrity guests will also be joining them.
The other hosts include Andrea Brillantes, Kyle Echarri, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Long Mejia, Petit, and among others. The show will feature a “set of original game and variety segments”.
To recall, the cake incident involving Vice Ganda and Ion Perez caused the suspension as it accordingly violated Section 3 (c) Presidential Decree No. 1986. The appeals of Showtime were denied by the MTRCB and ABS-CBN decided not to make an appeal anymore.
Showtime will serve the suspension and recently, in the October 13 episode of the show, the hosts bid goodbye. Vice was not there but Vhong led the group.
“We will be right back. Mami-miss namin kayo, pero mabilis lang ‘yan. Kaya magkita-kita tayo muli,” says Navarro.
He also promoted the show that will temporarily be their replacement. He told the viewers to support the variety show as the suspension is just going to be swift. “It’s Your Lucky Day” will air and stream on the GTV, Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, Kapamilya Online Live, iWanTFC, and TFC.
He said based on ABS-CBN report, “At kami naman po sa aming pagbabalik October 28. Magsasama-sama tayo muli para sa Mini Ms. U: The Cutest Finale.”
The suspension will start on October 14. Showtime will return on October 28.
