Organization at Sorsogon State University Launches Free Sketches for Teachers on World Teacher’s Day
FREE DRAWING – An organization at Sorsogon State University launched “free sketches for teachers” activity on World Teacher’s Day.
On World Teachers’ Day, October 5, 2023, an organization at Sorsogon State University launched an initiative to honor their educators. The gesture has garnered praise and support from netizens.
In a Facebook online community, samples of sketches were shared by Jeanefie Inolpe, an active member of the “United Visual Artists Of SorSu” or UNIVAS and a 3rd-year college student majoring in Bachelor of Engineering Technology with a specialization in Architectural Drafting at the university.
In the caption of her post, Jeanefie expressed her appreciation for teachers with the message, “Live sketch and free drawing for teachers at sorsu! Happy Teachers Day to all the teachers out there!”
Jeanefie also took the opportunity to explain their organization’s mission and goals. She described it as a small organization based at Sorsogon State University with the aim of nurturing the skills and talents of visual artists with various styles.
Additionally, UNIVAS wants to highlight the value and beauty of local creations, especially at a time when the recognition of artists is gradually diminishing.
According to Jeanefie, they decided to offer free sketches to the teachers at their campus to express their gratitude for the dedicated service of educators.
“At upang maipakita na rin na naging bahagi na sila ng buhay namin bilang mga aspiring artist. Sa pamamagitan ng pagguhit sa kanilang mga larawan ay nabibigyan namin ng simpleng ngiti ang kanilang mga labi sa kabila ng lahat ng sakripisyong iginugol nila para sa amin,” she added.
Jeanefie conveyed her heartfelt thanks to teachers who continue to make sacrifices and devote themselves to their students.
