The cities within Metro Manila are among the busiest cities in the Philippines. In fact, a heavy traffic is already a usual scenario in most of these cities most especially during the peak hours. The LRT station list in Metro Manila provide several options for the commuters on which terminal to take a train ride. This is one of the authorities’ way of easing the struggles of the commuters on heavy traffic aside from the coding in Manila.
In the National Capital Region (NCR), two (2) rail transits can be found – the Light Rail Transit 1 or popularly called the LRT 1 and the Light Rail Transit 2 or the LRT 2. They traverses different cities across the capital region.
The LRT 1 traverses Manila, Pasay, Quezon City, and Caloocan. It is also called the Green Line. Its operation is under the management of the Light Rail Manila Corporation or the LRMC.

The ongoing construction of the LRT-1 Cavite Extension Project eyes to add 11 kilometers to the LRT 1 rail system. These stations may be added to LRT 1 upon the completion of the project:

- Asiaworld Station
- Ninoy Aquino Station
- Dr. Santos Station
- Las Piñas Station
- Zapote Station
- Niog Station
The LRT 2, also called the Blue Line, traverses Pasig, Marikina, Quezon City, San Juan and Manila. Its operation is under the Light Rail Transit Authority or the LRTA. Here is the LRT station list under the Light Rail Transit 2:
