Kim Chiu Shares Why Xian Lim Did Not Attend The ABS-CBN Ball 2023

This is the reason why Kim Chiu attended the event solo.

In an interview, Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu speaks about why Xian Lim was not able to attend the ABS-CBN Ball 2023.

The annual event ABS-CBN Ball 2023 had a much-awaited comeback on Saturday, September 30. The ball highlighted gratitude as declared by ABS-CBN’s Head of TV Production and Star Magic Laurenti Dyogi.

And among the head-turners during the event was Kim Chiu whose stunning look went viral online.

The actress looked like a siren wearing Francis Libiran. It was a shimmering silhouette gown with intricate designs with cutouts not only highlighting her figure but also strategically done for allure.

However, she walked the red carpet alone. This is unlike previous balls where she was escorted by real-life partner Xian Lim.

Talking about going solo, she revealed the reason why her long-time boyfriend was not able to attend the grand event. She talked about this during an interview in Magandang Buhay.

According to her, Lim was out of the country on the day of the event. He was in India with his friends and this is not a big deal to her at all.

“Nasa India siya, kasama niya ang friends niya, nag-motor. Tapos nung na-schedule niya ‘yon, sabi niya ‘Kailan ‘yung ball?’ Eh na timing sumakto. So parang, ‘Sige go lang, kaya ko na ito,'” Chiu said.

She was alone but she did enjoy the night that “went perfectly” based on the interview.

Meanwhile, some of the stars we missed at the event were Anne Curtis, Nadine Lustre, Liza Soberano, and Pia Wurtzbach.

Soberano was busy with her new career path and she previously attended the Milan Fashion Week. Other stars who used to be at the event before but were not present at this year’s ball were Bea Alonzo, Dominic Roque, Bela Padilla, and James Reid.

However, it is uncertain if these stars have received an invitation to attend the event.
