Kapamilya actor and entrepreneur, Gerald Anderson gives this answer when asked about marrying his girlfriend Julia Barretto.
Famous actress Julia Barretto previously shut down rumors about her being married already to longtime boyfriend Gerald Anderson. She denied that a secret marriage happened because she believes that in this world where news is driven in a fast-paced manner, secrets won’t last long being kept.
According to her, there is no secret to reveal as there is no engagement that happened to begin with.
“Bakit niyo ba kami minamadali? You know, we’re just really happy where we are in life. It’s something to look forward to, pero bakit niyo ba kami minamadali?” she further said.
And recently, during the ABS-CBN Ball 2023 event, they walked the red carpet together, and on the sideline, a reporter asked Gerald about the level-up in their relationship.
A reporter asked them if they were already talking about settling down and the actor had this response: “Sasabihin namin sa yo?”
He then added based on a report from PEP, “Mas marami pang problema sa mundo ngayon kesa ano. Pero you know, darating tayo [diyan]. Basta, basta.”
Meanwhile, after announcing their relationship in 2021, it looks like their relationship just keeps on getting stronger. Speaking about the event, Barretto expressed that she was excited to be a part of it and was even more excited that she got to attend with her boyfriend.
As for Gerald, talking about their relationship, he believed that they went through a lot of things but their trust in one another is the reason why they continue to succeed and that they never find a reason to give up on each other and on their endeavors.
