PAGASA Says LPA and Habagat to Bring Rainshowers Over Parts of PH
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that LPA and southwest monsoon will bring rain showers over some parts of the country.
On Monday (September 25, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. A low-pressure area and the southwest monsoon will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina reported that warm weather around Monday noon is expected over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Mindanao.

“Itong bahagi ng ka-Maynilaan at nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon at Mindanao ay asahan natin na medyo mainit na tanghali pa rin ang mararanasan sa araw na ito, pero sa hapon hanggang gabi ay posible ‘yung mga isolated rain showers and thunderstorms,” Badrina said.
Badrina reported that a trough or extension of a low-pressure area and habagat will bring rain showers over several regions.
The southwest monsoon will bring cloudy weather with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, and Batangas.

“Inaasahan po natin sa araw na ito na malaki ang tyansa ng pag-ulan partikular na sa Mimaropa, kasama din ang bahagi ng Cavite, Batangas, Zambales, at Bataan.” He added.
The LPAs trough will bring similar weather conditions over Eastern Visayas and Masbate.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
The weather agency has warned the public of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the entire country will be slight to moderate, according to PAGASA.
