Here’s what Ogie Alcasid admitted about his daughter and her boyfriend.
OPM Icon Ogie Alcasid has, at first, disapproved of the live-in setup of his daughter Leila Alcasid and Mito Fabie, a.k.a Curtismith.
Singers Leila Alcasid and Mito Fabie, also known as Curtismith, have been in a relationship since 2019 and her mother Michelle van Eimeren adored him. He’s already become a part of their family.
When the pandemic happened, at the early stage of their relationship, the two decided to live together.
This did not sit well at first with Ogie Alcasid, Leila’s father. He opposed this idea but eventually accepted it. They have decided it as adults and his role is to let them face this as adults.
In a previous article, Mito revealed the reaction of Ogie to live-in setup and said that he was very cool and open-minded. Alcasid listened to them. He even added, “They were all great, you know that. They’re amazing people. They’re great. I’m very blessed that Leila has very wonderful parents and wonderful family.”
Alcasid, meanwhile, in a recent interview, reveals his thoughts when asked about them. He admitted that he initially did not like the idea of them living together. But since she’s already 25 years old, he can’t do anything more if she decides to do something.
He did not like it but he let them. He shared, “I said, ‘You know, I didn’t like what you did. Because, that’s something that I wished you talk to me about.’ However, nandiyan na yan, e, ginawa niya na yan. So, you want to be an adult, so you face like as an adult.”
What he is just proud of about her is that she did not ask for money from him. The next step, for him, as a parent is to talk to them about their plans.
In a report from PEP, when asked about what he would feel if Leila decided to settle down, he answered with honesty. According to him, he is mentally ready when this day comes but in his heart, he is not yet ready for it.
But he knew well and accepted the reality that sooner or later, they are going to hit that road.
