Kaye Abad Amazed By Tabing Ilog’s Impact On Viewers

Kaye Abad talked about the popularity of her past youth-oriented show

Actress Kaye Abad is amazed by the impact of the show Tabig Ilog to the viewers it is still being remembered by many people.

The said defunct Kapamilya youth-oriented show aired from 1999 to 2003. It featured the cast members who became big stars. Aside from Kaye, the show featured John Lloyd Cruz, Paolo Contis, Desiree del Valle, Jodi Sta. Maria, Baron Geisler, Patrick Garcia, Paula Peralejo, and Dimples Romana.

In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Kaye admitted that she could not believe the popularity of their show until now.

Kaye Abad said that she is happy that she still receives positive comments about Tabing Ilog. There were even those who requested that the show will have a reboot. “Actually medyo nakakagulat na until now, nakaka-remember pa rin sila about it. Super vivid ‘yung memories nila with ‘Tabing Ilog,‘” she said.

The actress also said that she would always say that she is surprised by this kind of warm reaction from the people because when they were doing their show, they were not thinking that their show would have that kind of effect.

We did not know, we were just taping. Until mga 10 years after, ‘yun pa rin ang mga naaalala ng tao,” Kaye said. This kind of reaction to their show surprised her that even though she had already done other TV series, people would always go back to Tabing Ilog.

On the other hand, Kaye Abad clarified that Tabing Ilog has nothing to do with the upcoming project that she has with actors Paolo Contis and Patrick Garcia. She shared that it appeared that the producer of the project wanted them to be together in one movie.

It just so happened also that they were shooting in Nueva Ecija in which there was a river. However, she said that the story of the movie has nothing to do with Tabing Ilog.
