A teacher-vlogger in Masbate earns praise online for initiating a feeding project to motivate his beloved students.

A Facebook user named Ronnie V. Valladores has shared his feeding project to motivate his students and make a positive impact on their lives. The post garnered reactions from the online community.

Ronnie, an educator from Barangay Anas in Masbate City is teaching Grade 5 students at Anas Elementary School.

In the photos, the 31-year-old teacher showcases his personal preparation of meals for his advisory class. He prepared a free lunch for his students including pork Menudo with veggies, tortang talong with egg, plain rice, dalandan fruit and orange juice.

Balladores plans to set up a mini kitchen beside or outside his classroom to continue providing meals every Monday and Friday for a year. He mentions that he is actively seeking sponsors for meals from Tuesday to Thursday.

The kind-hearted educator explained that his feeding project aims to motivate his students to attend school regularly, reduce absenteeism, discourage child labor, and improve their academic performance.

Aside from being a teacher, Ronnie is also a content creator. His online presence has played an important role in gathering funds for his project. He has found support from individual sponsors and a food delivery app company, FoodPandaPH.

The feeding project usually costs P4,000 per meal catering to 40 pupils at P100 per head. An additional P1,000 covers operational costs such as transportation, gas, and manpower, resulting in a daily expense of P5,000.

Apart from free meals, the teacher also provides free school uniforms to his pupils to boost their confidence as they attend school each day.
