PHILSYS ID REQUIREMENTS – Here are the documents needed in applying for the Philippine Identification System ID or National ID.

Nowadays, you can no longer be approved for a bank loan, be allowed to open a bank account, be able to purchase a car or house, and several other important and big transactions if you have no valid ID. In fact, a lot of cases, at least two (2) valid IDs are often requested in every transaction.

When it comes to the list of valid ID cards accepted in the Philippines, it is quite long but among the best ID cards to have are the government-issued ones. Most of these IDs come with little or no questions at all when presented.

One of the government-issued IDs that offer an easy application process is the PhilSys ID or more popularly called the National ID. You just have to prepare the PhilSys ID requirements and start the process by booking an online appointment.

The PhilSys ID or National ID has no expiry. It is valid for a lifetime for Filipino cardholders unless you need to update an important information in your card. Resident aliens of the Philippines may apply for this type of identification document card but it comes with a one-year validity. Meanwhile, it can be renewed every year. Here are the PhilSys ID requirements for application:

Primary Documents (any of the following):

  • Student’s License Permit or Non- Professional/Professional Driver’s License issued by the LTO
  • Unified Multi-purpose ldentification (UMID) Card issued by the Government Service lnsurance System (GSIS) or Social Security Systen (SSS)
  • PSA Birth Certificate and one (1) government-issued identification document which bears a full name, front-facing photograph, and signature or thumb mark
  • Philippine Passport or ePassport issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA)

Secondary/Supporting Documents:

  • PSA-issued Report of Birth
  • PSA Birth Certificate or National Statistics Office (NSO)-issued Certificate of Live Blrth with Birth Reference Number (BreN)
  • Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) ID
  • Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO)-issued Certificate of Live Birth
  • Social Security System (SSS) lD
  • PSA-issued Certificate of Foundling
  • Senior Citizen’s lD issued by the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) and/or LocalGovernment Units (LGU)
  • Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Identification Card
  • Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) ID
  • Seaman’s Book (Seafarer’s Record Book)
  • Solo Parent’s ID
  • Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) ID
  • Voter’s lD issued by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC)
  • Postal lD issued by the Philippine Postal Corporation (PhlPost)
  • National Bureau of lnvestigation (NBl) Clearance
  • Residence ID from other countries
  • Eligibility Card issued by the Civil Service Commission
  • Police Clearance or ID
  • Person with Disability (PWD) lD
  • Taxpayer ldentification Number (TlN) Ld
  • Professional ldentification Card issued by the Maritime lndustry Authority (MARINA)
  • Dependent’s lD lssued by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP)
  • Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV) issued by the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA)
  • National ID from other countries
