Actress Ruffa Gutierrez has this reaction to her rumored wedding with actor-turned-politician Herbert Bautista.
Ruffa was already married in the past. She tied the knot with Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas in 2003. They separated in 2007 and their marriage was annulled in 2012.
Years after their separation, rumors surfaced that they are getting back together, and based on the Abante article by entertainment writer Jun Lalin, who is close to Ruffa and her family, the actress was shocked by the reconciliation rumors involving her and her ex-husband.
It was also alleged that they got married again. However, what shocked Ruffa Gutierrez even more was the rumors that she and Herbert Bautista got married already.
To recall, Ruffa and Herbert, who had a unique first date, were linked to each other when they did the series The House Arrest of Us featuring the KathNiel loveteam of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. In past interviews, Ruffa and Herbert have hinted at the special connection that they have but they haven’t directly confirmed the status of their relationship.
Lalin shared that just recently, Ruffa received a call from a TV network that wanted to know if there is truth to rumors that she and Herbert tied the knot.
“Grabeee, walong beses na yata akong ikinasal. Ano ba ‘yan?! Nakakaloka naman. Kung totoo ‘yan baka mademanda na ako ng bigamy. Saan ba nila nakukuha ang mga tsismis nila?” the actress said.
She stressed that prior to this, she was rumored to have tied the knot again with Yilmaz in Istanbul. “Tapos ngayon naman, kami raw ni Bistek ang ikinasal. Nakakaloka na talaga!” she added.
The actress said that she is amused by this because people tend to believe everything they see on social media.
“Hello! Kung totoo ‘yan, ako na mismo ang magkukuwento. Hindi na nila kailangang mabasa o mapanood sa social media,” Ruffa Gutierrez said, adding that she will be the one who will post about this if it is true.
