Ruffa Gutierrez spoke about people’s anticipation for the “Ruffa-Yilmaz love team”
Actress Ruffa Gutierrez reacted to people who want her to rekindle her romance with her former husband Yilmaz Bektas.
After several years of living away from Turkey where she used to live with Yilmaz before, Ruffa let her daughters Lorin and Venice have their reunion with their father this year. Amid the fact that the actress is being linked to actor Herbert Bautista, there were still those who are rooting for the Ruffa-Yilmaz love team.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Pang-Masa, Ruffa Gutierrez is aware that there are websites that promote her love team with her former husband. The actress said, “Na kung kelan kami naghiwalay, parang gusto namang… (magkabalikan kami).”
With this, she asked why Filipinos are like this. When two people are together, they want them to separate, and when the separation happens they want them to get back together. Ruffa said that she feels that there is no more “balikan” that will happen between her and Yilmaz. “I’m sorry to disappoint the fans but I don’t wanna play any games, ‘di ba?” the actress said.
She also stressed that if ever there will be a “balikan” that will happen, it is just as co-parents to their daughters. However, when it comes to a romantic relationship and tying the knot again, Ruffa said that this will not be the thing anymore.
She understands that in the Philippines, many people really want to have “buo ang pamilya” and this is the reason why there were those who want her to get back with Yilmaz. However, the actress said that it would be wrong that they will get back together for the sake of their daughters who are now adults.
Ruffa Gutierrez believes that she should be with the person she really loves and not just get back together with her ex-husband for the sake of the kids.
