On Thursday (July 27, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Typhoon Egay will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

Egay is expected to head towards northwestward or north northwestward over the Luzon Strait, the sea southwest of Taiwan, and the Taiwan Strait. The weather disturbance is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility this morning or afternoon.

However, Egay enhances the southwest monsoon, which will bring occasional to monsoon rains over the western portions of Central Luzon and Southern Luzon within the next three days.
