Angeline Quinto Gives Six Students a Chance to Chase Their Biggest Dreams
ANGELINE QUINTO – Fresh from earning her own college degree at the age of 36, Angeline Quinto is now helping six students take meaningful steps toward achieving their educational dreams.
Angeline Quinto made her 15th anniversary in show business even more meaningful by introducing to the public the six students who received scholarships through her educational advocacy.
During a special segment of her “AQuinse” concert last Saturday, August 22, at the Araneta Coliseum, the Kapamilya actress and Birit Queen proudly presented the six scholars chosen for the program. The initiative was launched in partnership with her alma mater, Immaculada Concepcion College (ICC).
Angeline revealed that even her husband, Nonrev Daquina, did not know that she was pursuing her studies. The singer recently achieved a personal milestone after graduating from college at the age of 36. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Marketing Management, at ICC.
Her scholarship program is called “Sais Ang Pangarap,” inspired by the lyrics “sa isang pangarap” from her hit song “Patuloy Ang Pangarap.” What was once simply one of Angeline’s jokes has now taken on a deeper meaning: “six scholars, six dreams.”
“Pinangarap ko po talaga na maging daan upang matupad ang kahit anim muna na pangarap, at sa tulong po ng Immaculada Concepcion College, mabigyang-katuparan ang anim na pangarap ng mga taong gusto rin pong makapag-aral at makapagtapos ng kolehiyo,” said Angeline.
“Kaya ngayong gabi, mga kaibigan, dito mismo sa Araneta Coliseum, sa AQuinse concert ko, gusto ko pong special na i-announce ang anim na scholars na napili namin,” she said.
One of the scholars is a security guard who dreams of finishing his studies to provide a better life for his family. Another is a young girl who sells ice candy to support her school needs.
“Ngayon, sigurado na po ang kanyang tuition hanggang sa makatapos,” said Angeline.
The other beneficiaries include a mother of two hoping to earn a college degree, a breadwinner who postponed studying to help the family, twin siblings whose parents work as massage therapists, and a working student balancing school and work because his mother is ill.
“Ang pangarap ko, in four years, makasama ko rin kayo sa inyong graduation ceremony. God bless you guys. Patuloy ang pangarap,” she added.
Through “Sais Ang Pangarap,” Angeline is now using her own journey and success to help six other people move closer to achieving their dreams.
