Jak Roberto was asked about his solo carpet walk during GMA Gala 2023
Kapuso actor Jak Roberto broke his silence on his and his girlfriend actress Barbie Forteza’s decision to walk solo on GMA Gala 2023’s red carpet.
It is part of the annual Kapuso event to showcase the stars and personalities on the red carpet. During this time, it is also a show of fashion styles.
The red carpet walk became a center of the topic for many fans when Barbie walked alone. It is known to many that she is in a six-year relationship with Jak while her onscreen partner right now is David Licauco.
With this, there were fans who were wondering who will in Barbie’s side when she walks on the red carpet. She walked alone and in a post, she stressed that just a jewel, girls need to shine and indeed she did.
In an interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Jak Roberto was asked about their choice to have their solo red carpet walk.
The actor said that just like last year, he was “dateless” and Barbie also. “Talagang solo-solo, nag-usap na kami na solo-solo kaming maglalakad sa red carpet para mas ma-emphasize ‘yung damit, mag-thank you sa designers, mas may spot kumbaga,” he explained.
Barbie Forteza also asked, “Kailangan ba [ng date]? Oh hindi naman pala eh,” when she was asked why she was not with her boyfriend on the red carpet.
Meanwhile, Barbie and David both expressed in a previous interview that they are thankful that their fans understand and accept that what they have is just their onscreen partnership only and that their supporters know how to separate the reel and the real.
