Loving Dad Cries & Apologizes to Graduating Daughter for Being Unable to Buy a Gift
HEARTWARMING STORY – A hardworking dad who is unable to buy a gift. Tearfully apologized to his graduating daughter.
In a heartwarming moment, a father tearfully apologized to his daughter for his difficult circumstances, as he was unable to buy a gift for her graduation. The loving dad identified as Mang Reynaldo Benitez, bursts into tears as he apologized to his daughter, Angela.
“Alam mo, nahihiya ako sa ‘yo. Hiyang-hiya na ako sa ‘yo. Hindi ko alam kung anong gagawin kong pagsu-surprise sa ‘yo eh,” said Father Reynaldo.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t give you a gift. I’m sorry, please forgive me. I hope you understand, my youngest, Pasensya na wala akong mairegalo sa ‘yo. Sorry, pasensyahan mo na. Naintindihan mo naman ‘yon, bunso kita,” he added.
Angela, a 21-year-old, dreams of completing her education to make her parents proud and to be able to support them. Due to her family’s financial struggles, Angela became a working student.
However, juggling her studies and being a sales lady in a ready-to-wear shop in Divisoria Mall posed a challenge for her.
Angela expressed her profound gratitude to her employers, Apollo and Myrna Rocafort, who allowed her to study while working at their shop. Her employer, Myrna, who was also a working student in the past, served as an inspiration for Angela.
After nearly three years of working for her employers, Angela finally achieved her dream of completing her education. Despite Tatay Reynaldo’s joy at Angela’s achievement, he apologized to his daughter for not fully fulfilling his role as a father.
Reynaldo was unable to work due to a heart condition he was suffering from. Consequently, he couldn’t afford to buy a gift for his daughter’s graduation.
“Mahirap talaga dahil [kahit] gusto ko, ako naman, wala akong magawa. Umiiyak ako na hindi ko masabi na, ‘Sorry, pasensya na kasi hindi makapagtrabaho ang papa, mahina.’ Lalo kapag mainit, hindi ako makapagtrabaho, hindi ako makapag-ipon,” Reynaldo shared.
As a loving daughter, Angela understood her father’s situation. She reassured him, saying, “Okay lang ‘yan. Sapat naman ‘yung mga sakripisyong ginawa niya po sa amin noong bata kami. Kaya talagang lahat po ng mga sakripisyong ‘yon, papalitan ko lahat ‘yon,”
