OWWA SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION – Here is a guide on how to be a scholar of the OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP).
One of the scholarship offers of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration or OWWA is the OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP). It was designed to financially help the dependents of the OFWs who earn not more than USD 600 monthly in their tertiary education.

How to Apply for OWWA Scholarship
Step 1 – Check your qualification for the ODSP scholarship offer. To be eligible to apply for the offer, the student applicant must bear the following qualities based on the year level:
For incoming first year college students:
- Single
- Grade 11 graduate (Incoming Grade 12 / currently enrolled as Grade 12)
- Not more than 21 years old
- With a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 80% in all academic and non-academic subjects during the last school year attended in full load
For those in their 2nd to 5th year in college:
- Single
- Not more than 30 years old
- With a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 80% in all academic and non-academic subjects during the last school year attended in full load

Step 3 – Go to the nearest regional office of OWWA that covers the permanent address of the overseas Filipino worker (OFW).
Step 4 – Get queuing number or queue in the line for the ODSP scholarship application.
Step 5 – Present the I.D. of OFW member together with the requirements to the Membership Verification Desk to OWWA.
Step 6 – Obtain Notice of Award and Schedule of Scholarship Orientation validation / evaluation.
Step 7 – Attend the Scholarship Orientation and Facilitate Notarization of Scholarship Agreement.
