OWWA SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS – Here is an overview of the assistance provided for scholars under the OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP).
Dependents of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who receive a monthly salary of not more than USD 600 may apply to be a scholar under the OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP) of OWWA.
Who are qualified to apply for the OWWA ODSP Scholarship offer? The dependent of an OFW must possess the following qualities based on his or her year level:
For incoming first year college students:
- Single
- Grade 11 graduate (Incoming Grade 12 / currently enrolled as Grade 12)
- Not more than 21 years old
- With a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 80% in all academic and non-academic subjects during the last school year attended in full load
For those in their 2nd to 5th year in college:
- Single
- Not more than 30 years old
- With a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 80% in all academic and non-academic subjects during the last school year attended in full load
With regards to the OWWA scholarship benefits under the ODSP, a scholar will receive a financial assistance of P20,000.00 yearly.
