The rumored end of Eat Bulaga was addressed by TAPE
Television and Production Exponent Inc. or TAPE Inc’s lawyer denied the rumors that Eat Bulaga will have its final episode this July.
Noontime shows in the Philippines became hot topics these past few months. GMA continues to air Eat Bulaga even after TVJ and the legit Dabarkads left the show. The iconic trio was able to find a new home in the Kapatid Network.
The noontime show saga continues to be the talk of the town when Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime was able to secure a partnership with GTV which is also owned by GMA.
As television plays the rating game, many commented negative anticipation for Eat Bulaga as it got the lowest rating among the three noontime shows. Speculations surfaced that the Kapuso noontime show will bid goodbye on air.
It was alleged that Eat Bulaga will just be on air until the end of July. Veteran entertainment writer Cristy Fermin shared this in a recent episode of her YouTube show. She said that her source told her about this.
However, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque, the lawyer of TAPE Inc. debunked this rumor.
“We do not contest that on July 1, mababa ang rating of ‘Eat Bulaga’ because of the anticipation of people on the launch of new shows, but thereafter, makikita na tumataas na ulit ang ratings into,” the lawyer said.
Abraham-Garduque also stressed that the segments of Eat Bulaga are doing great, especially the segment of Isko Moreno and Buboy Villar, the Hey! Mr. Rider. The lawyer said that this is loved by the members of motorcycle associations.
“Ang Eat Bulaga ay para sa tao at hanggang maraming manonood, ang tumatangkilik, patuloy ang Eat Bulaga sa pagbibigay ng saya at tulong sa mga kababayan natin,” TAPE’s legal counsel added. Abraham-Garduque also said that they are planning to address this issue legally.
