Paolo Contis Flaunts High Ratings of Eat Bulaga: “Fight Fight Fight!”

Paolo Contis Celebrates High Ratings of Eat Bulaga vs Other Noontime Shows

Comedian-TV host Paolo Contis celebrates the high ratings of the new Eat Bulaga against other competitor noontime shows.

On July 1, the premiere episode of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon’s (TVJ) and Legit Dabarkads’ new noontime show began on TV 5. Aside from that, the Kapamilya variety shows It’s Showtime will premiere a new episode in their new home.

During the July 1 episodes, the new Eat Bulaga was listed as one of the three noontime shows with the fewest social media views. Views are led by E.A.T of TVJ and Legit Dabarkads, with Its Showtimes coming in second.

Despite stating that he does not intend to compete with E.A.T and It’s Showtime, Eat Bulaga presenter Paolo Contis couldn’t help but celebrate the boost in ratings for their noontime show. On July 3, Eat Bulaga boosted its rating, finishing second among the three noontime shows, while its competitors, E.A.T and It’s Showtime, decreased in popularity.

“Fight fight fight,” Paolo said in his Instagram story, showing the noontime show rating last July 3.

Netizens chastised Paolo for celebrating, especially because he had previously stated that he was not aiming to compete with other shows. It may be remembered that Paolo stated that competing with other shows, particularly the TVJ, is pointless.

“Wala namang point na maglaban-laban, di ba? Kasi ang tao, manonood naman yan kung ano ang gusto nilang panoorin. At least ngayon, tatlo na yung choices nila. Ngayon, trabaho namin na mapilit at ma-convince yung tao na kami yung panoorin. At magagawa lang namin yun na ginagawa namin nang tama yung trabaho namin. It will be very very challenging.” said Paolo.

“Mahirap tapatan yung 44 years na nakasanayan. Kami bukas, para sa amin celebration. First month namin bukas. Monthsary namin bukas.” he added.
