Is it true that Eat Bulaga will just air until the end of July?
Veteran showbiz writer Cristy Fermin said that TAPE Inc. has no sponsor and allegedly the production company will end Eat Bulaga in July.
The Kapuso noontime show has not just one rival in this timeslot. Aside from EAT, the noontime show of TVJ and the legit Dabarkads on TV5, Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime is also airing on GTV, a free TV channel that is also owned by GMA.
Recent ratings showed the EB is behind its rivals. It is known to many that controversies arose when Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon led the mass exodus of hosts and staff members from TAPE Inc.
In a recent episode of the YouTube talk show of Cristy Fermin, one of the topics she discussed was Eat Bulaga‘s status. Based on the article in NewsKo, the veteran showbiz writer said that rumors surfaced that the Kapuso noontime show will air until the end of July only.
Cristy said that this is what she heard from her source. It was alleged that this is because TAPE was not able to get sponsors for the show. However, she said that the camp of Jalosjos would most probably deny this.
“Ito po ‘yung isyu na puwedeng-puwedeng i-deny ng pamunuan ng TAPE Inc., ang inalisan po na producer at programa ng Tito, Vic and Joey at ng Dabarkads. Alam ko po na hindi sila magbibigay ng paborableng salita tungkol dito,” Cristy said.
She added that if the Jalosjos family will stick with their pride, and since they have money, they will continue to cover the reality and release more millions of pesos.
“Dahil kung pride po ang paiikutin at paiiralin, mayaman ang mga Jalosjos. Kayang-kayang sumugal. Kayang-kayang magpakawala ng ilan pang milyones, huwag lang maisangla ang kanilang kahihiyan sa publiko. Pero gaano po katotoo, na hanggang katapusan na lang po ng Hulyo ang inyong programang ito, ang hindi lehitimong Eat Bulaga?” she said.
