Kim Chiu and Jake Ejercito played “Ako Yun/Hindi Ako Yun” game
Chinita Princess Kim Chiu recalled the time when a director got angry at her and threw “siomai” on the set.
Kim now has a Prime Video Philippines series Fit Check: Confessions of an Ukay Queen with Jake Ejercito. In a recent interview that was posted on PEP’s YouTube Channel, the two Kapamilya stars played the Ako Yun/Hindi Ako Yun game.
They were asked questions and they will answer if they are that person or not. One of the questions was if they have ever experienced “napagalitan” by a director. Both of them answered “Ako Yun.”
Kim Chiu said that almost everyone in the industry went through that phase. “Humahagis na chair, humagahis na siomai, humahagis na script,” she said. Jake Ejercito was shocked about the “flying siomai.”
The actress said that it really happened. Jake said that fortunately, he did not experience anything flying on the set but the director shouted at him.
Since their movie is about a woman, Kim’s character Melanie, who sells “ukay-ukay,” they were asked if they buy “ukay-ukay” in real life. Both of them once again answered “Ako Yun.”
The Chinita Princess shared that during their taping, since “ukay-ukay” was part of their props, she really bought the leather biker jacket because she really liked it. Kim’s leading man said that he really buys pre-loved items because he loves vintage clothes. This is the reason why Jake would often buy from “ukay-ukay.”
In a previous article, Jake Ejercito reveals that Kim Chiu is really “ma-chika.” The actress would always share stories with him on the set.
