This is what Billy Crawford said about Showtime’s move to GTV.
BILLY CRAWFORD – One of the former hosts of Its Showtime is Billy Crawford and this is what he said about the show’s move to GMA GTV.
In a previous article, Its Showtime hosts bade goodbye to TV5. On June 30, Friday, the show aired its final episode to be seen on TV5 as starting July 1, Saturday, it will be airing on GMA’s GTV.
The hosts were emotional but at the same time, they were happy and grateful because a new door of platform was opened for their show.
“So, sa oras na ito, sa araw na ito, isang kabanata ng libro na yun ang nagtatapos. Yung kabanata ng pagiging bahagi namin ng Kapatid network, TV5,” an emotional Vice Ganda said.
And recently, in an interview with Boy Abunda, actor-host Billy Crawford reacted to this. As much as we all know, Billy has been a part of the show for eight years as a host. And to know that his former show now has a new show, he feels happy about it.
With a smile, he quipped, “Sa totoo lang, nakakatuwa.”
Happiness is his “honest opinion and feeling”. He added, “I am so happy na interested na naman ang mga manonood natin, our viewers, our televiewers, showbiz and entertainment. It’s a statement and it’s historical.”
For him, Showtime holds a special place in his life as this is where he met Coleen Garcia who is his wife now. This is also the show where he started and he is just happy that the show is not being left behind and that there’s still a home for them.
He expressed, “I wish them all the best dito sa GTV and I’m excited kung ano yung mangyayari in the next few years.”
