A passenger hired a motorcycle taxi rider but switched place during the ride “Inangkas yung joyride para mas mabilis”.
A Facebook post by Keith De Guzman has gained popularity, recounting the unusual experience he had on Saturday, June 24, 2023. The post featured a selfie of Keith, who became the driver, and the motorcycle rider, who seemingly became the passenger.
Keith’s caption read, “Ang stress level mo today ay: inangkas yung joyride para mas mabilis andar.”
The viral post garnered a variety of comments from netizens. Some jokingly suggested that the driver might lose his job, while others playfully suggested that Keith should be the one paying. Some even expressed concern that they might get caught by authorities for swapping positions on the motorcycle.
According to Keith, the incident occurred because he was running late for his destination, and the navigation app provided them with a longer route. He explained, “Bali ang nangyari po do’n ay malalate na po ako sa pupuntahan ko tapos yung navigation app pinapadaan kami sa mas malayo”.
Keith added that the driver had mentioned being tired from ferrying multiple passengers before him, so he offered to drive to prevent getting lost. He still paid, neither more nor less. “Nagbayad pa rin walang labis walang kulang. Parañaque hanggang Cubao haha,” he said.
In the end, Keith reportedly reached his destination on time because the driver agreed to swap places. He expressed gratitude to the driver, stating that he didn’t arrive late thanks to him.
