Recently, Kapuso actress Gabbi Garcia’s exclusive contract with GMA has been renewed, and she has nothing but gratitude to the network that saw her potential. Gabbi opened up about the rejections she received, and it was the GMA network that first took a risk on her after seeing something in her.

She was born Gabriella Louise Ortega Lopez on December 2, 1998. Her parents are Vince Pena Lopez, a security manager, and Tes Lopez, a flight attendant. She is the second child, and most of her childhood was accordingly spent in the family’s ancestral home in Pasay City.

Mommy Tes has been a flight attendant for the Philippine Airlines for 30 years.

At school, she was an achiever and a doer. The actress was the president of the student council in elementary and became the batch representative during her first and second year of high school at St. Paul College Parañaque. She then transferred to St. Paul College Pasig.

She started in commercials, and in her journey, she faced a lot of rejections. In 2014, she finally made an acting debut as one of the lead stars of GMA Network’s primetime series My Destiny. She was first introduced as Gabrielle Garcia.

Later on, she was paired with Ruru Madrid, and in 2016, she made it to the 2016 remake of the fantasy series Encantadia. She was Sang’gre Alena, and her rise to stardom became unstoppable.
