Herlene Budol was emotional during the media conference for her teleserye
Kapuso actress Herlene Budol cried during the media conference for her TV series Magandang Dilag and this is the reason behind this.
Herlene had the chance to have her first leading role in a teleserye. The doors of showbiz opened for her after she started her stint in Willie Revillame’s game show. Following her contract signing with GMA, a TV series project was given to her.
However, issues and intrigues are inevitable. Rumors surfaced that her co-stars were already complaining because allegedly their taping schedule is delayed and the reason for this is her so-called busy schedule doing other “rakets.”
In a previous article, it was stated that Herlene Budol already denied this allegation against her. Just recently, a media conference was held for the upcoming premiere of Magandang Dilag on June 26.
During the said event, Herlene could not avoid being emotional. Director Don Michael Perez made a comment about the Kapuso star who is also known by her moniker Hipon Girl.
Direk Don said that since he knows Herlene is a comedienne, he did not have much expectation from her when it comes to doing dramatic scenes. However, he was surprised by the performance of the actress.
“Ang pagkakakilala ko sa kanya, comedian…and ‘di dapat ‘to comedy. This is her launching vehicle as a dramatic actress. Ako, sa totoo lang, I had a very little expectation kasi nga…komedyante s’ya. Nagulat ako kasi kayang-kaya pala n’ya. In fact, for a relative newcomer for drama, I’m very impressed with her acting skills,” the director shared.
When Herlene was asked to react to this, she got emotional. She attributed her performance to the people she worked with in this series.
“Nabigla din ako kasi kung hindi rin po dahil sa kanila, hindi ko rin po magagawa [‘yung role ko] kasi tinulungan po nila ‘ko lahat. Gi-nuide po nila ‘ko. Thank you po,” Herlene Budol shared.
